mobi format books, just drop them in the books folder on the fire, and they show up in the kindle app. Hitting Home button while default launcher is up does nothing.
It stays like that for 5 seconds or so, then pops back to Nova by itself. Uncheck the box to hide system files and the Fire’s default launcher, Home, should appear in the list. Chosen launcher (Nova) appears after reboot, but Home button brings the default launcher back. How do I change the launcher on my Kindle Fire If you want to change launchers back, run LauncherHijack and tap the triple-dot options icon at the top right. Oh ya, and last tiny tip, to copy your free. LH hardly works on a new Fire HD 10, 9th generation, running 7.3.1.1 fire os.
Gonna look again if there is maybe a nova setting I'm missing, but if not at least I know how to navigate.Ī little funky working around the Amazon iteration of Android, but still for me for a 33 dollar tablet, that I can hold like a book for reading, and many other things, still a great deal. Not sure why this happens, but it drove me nuts till I figured this out.Īlso home, does not get you to the default home screen, like it does on a straight android tablet, it brings you to the last home screen you were on. When I try to add a widget, settings automatically opens and the widget disappears.
For some reason with nova, on the fire, after looking at and/or clearing recent apps, or in a few other instances, to get back to the home screen, you need to do a long press in the home button and hear a small haptic feedback, then just a quick tap on the sorta greyed out screen, gets you back to home screen. Launcher Hijack works like a charm, however, I can’t install and widgets using Nova Launcher Prime. Just a small heads up on one little issue I have found. Thanks that worked out for meMy pleasure.
